Sports Development Foundation is the first ever non political sports NGO of Pakistan registered with Security and Exchange Commission under section 42 of Companies Ordinance 1984.

58% of population in Pakistan is below the age of 25 years. It is unfortunate that sports had never been viewed as a human intensive industry with unbelievable magnitude and influence of distinctive social, political and economic activity by the decision makers in the country.

Poor youth, education and sports policies have deprived the youth of the country from health and meaningful activity of sports. The poor policies and lack of interest by the government has not only resulted in retardation of sports activities at national and international level but has also greatly effected the education institutions where sports grounds were either converted in to class rooms or schools canteens. The divorce of sports from education has dried up the basic source of sports input in he country and the role of education institutions as incubators of producing good citizens, talented leaders, effective team players, coworkers and companions have also been effected.
